This version of the SEBoK was released 27th March 2017. This is a minor release of the SEBoK which includes updates to the System of Systems knowledge area in Part 4: Applications of Systems Engineering, as well as the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability and Manufacturability and Producibility articles in Part 6: Related Disciplines.

Content and Feature Updates for v. 1.8

This section provides a summary of changes for SEBoK v1.8. See letter from the editor for a wider discussion of the changes and future plans.

This is a minor update, that features an update of the System of Systems knowledge area in Part 4: Applications of Systems Engineering where a number of articles have been updated on the basis of developments in the area as well as on comments from the SoS and SE community. This include updates to the Systems of Systems and Architecting Approaches for Systems of Systems articles, and a rewrite of the Socio-Technical Features of Systems of Systems article.

In Part 6: Related Disciplines work has been done on the Manufacturability and Producibility article and the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability articles in which the latter has seen the addition of a focus on Data Issues and Design Issues.
