Definition
The boundaries of a system, its salient elements and relationships within the system, and its relationships to other systems and to the environment in which it is contained. The Narrower SOI (NSOI) fits within a Wider SOI (WSOI) that contains the most important salient elements, identified based on the current context or situation of the wider environment.
