This paper discusses a number of new systems, including system-of-systems, and decision-oriented informatics and adaptive-oriented cybernetics methods and their further development are discussed. This paper presents a multidisciplinary outlook with a mass customization focus moving from a steady state to a real-time perspective, and from an optimal to an adaptive approach.
