Opening sentence should be "world economies" (plural); "manufacturing economies" (plural); and "service economies" (plural). ***Fixed

I wonder about the validity of "Electronic-Oriented" under "Unique Characteristics of Service Systems". Just a question for the author here -- aren't there service systems without an electronic orientation? Is my local laundromat a service system? Is it electronically oriented? (I recognize that the author is not called upon to assert his own views, but to review the state of knowledge -- I just raise this as a minor question.) ***this is quoted material and so the quote was made more obvious.
