This knowledge area (KA) focuses on the standards and technical protocols that are relevant to systems engineering.  It looks at the types of standards, some of the key standards, the alignment efforts to achieve a consistent set of standards.  It then compares some of the standards, and surveys the application of the standards.  Note that many of these standards have been used as references throughout Part 3.
